NaPoWriMo Poem #10
Today’s NaPoWriMo prompt for the day asks to write a hay(na)ku). Created by the poet Eileen Tabios and named by Vince, the hay(na)ku is a variant on the haiku. A hay(na)ku consists of a three-line stanza, where the first line has one word, the second line has two words, and the third line has three words. You can write just one, or chain several together into a longer poem.
Spillway
Sitting
To long
In one place.
Coffee
Running through
My entire body.
I
Have to
Go pee now.
Taking
Just one
More cold drink.
Making
The pressure
Go even higher.
Holding
My Pee
Until it hurts.
I
May not
make it there.
This
Could be
A wet disaster
One
More sip
Before I pop.
Opps.
Too late.
Need new pants.
