NaPoWriMo21 Day 20 - Grifters

Today’s NaPoWriMo prompt challenged me to write a traditional Korean poetic form poem called a Sijo. I wrote a poem about the true nature of bureaucratic life and how difficult it is to remove career politicians from a lifetime of grifting.

Grifters

The Swamp, full of villains, lurking about, always plotting.
“Drain it now!” Cries the patriot. But who will start? Who is still clean?
Crack the shade! Expose all the grifters! Lights must shine!
